Job Description:
The refrigeration service technician is responsible for repairs and maintenance of commercial refrigeration equipment (walk-in coolers, freezers, reach-in and roll-in coolers and freezers, blast chillers, roll-ins, under-counter coolers, medical refrigerators, etc.). Technicians must be able to diagnose problems accurately, provide appropriate recommendations to the customer, and fix issues efficiently. Technicians are representatives of our company in the field and should maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism. This includes properly organizing and cleaning the company-provided vehicle and making sure it is equipped with proper tools and parts for each service call. Technicians are required to keep accurate notes and must complete required paperwork for each service call.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose equipment issues accurately
- Provide appropriate recommendations to the customers
- Repair and maintain commercial refrigeration equipment
- Professionally represent the company on the road and on the job site
- Maintain high level of customer service
- Keep company truck clean, organized, and stocked with proper tools and parts
- Take accurate notes and picture required at each service call
- Overtime may be expected.
- On-call weekends and holiday rotations are required.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years commercial refrigeration tech experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- EPA Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean Driving Record
- Good Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Basic map reading/navigation ability
- Basic computer skills’
- This position includes physical requirements for lifting and stooping
