Job Description:

The maintenance tech will perform preventative maintenance and/or cleaning service requests as needed by our extensive client base. Maintenance tasks include inspecting ice machine or refrigeration components such as evaporators and condensers, cube sizing controls, water sensors, thermistors, water distributor parts, valves and water hoses, and water sump or reservoir. Technicians will also need to check water filtration systems on ice machines and observe whether the water pressure drops due to any restrictions. Technicians should conduct bearing and auger inspection on extruded ice makers, clean the bin interior and exterior. Conduct a visual inspection of controls, wiring for oil spots, loose wires, loose fasteners, corrosion, etc. Remove and inspect air filters. Sanitize machines after cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and PM services
• Check water filter systems and replace when necessary
• Inspect equipment for issues and provide recommendations for service when appropriate
• Conduct visual inspections of equipment
• Clean and sanitize equipment per manufacturer specifications
• Professionally represent the company on the road and on the job site
• Maintain high level of customer service
• Take accurate notes and picture required at each service call

Qualifications:

• 3 years of mechanical experience (preferred)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• Clean Driving Record
• Good Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
• Basic map reading/navigation ability
• Basic computer skills
• This position includes physical requirements for lifting and stooping.
